Meet the Batwa Pygmy people

The Batwa, a pygmy people, indigenous, are largely marginalized, with limited access to land, education and health services. Forcefully evicted from kisoro forests and mt.Mufumbira where they survived as hunter gatherers, they constitute less than one percent of Lake Bunyonyi’s population, where some have been re-settled by the government. The perception of them in servitude continues to dominate their lives.

During the exchange dance workshops  in Berlin, Germany children watch short documentaries on the day to day life of their Ugandan counterparts, we then have a question and answer session to help contextualize the information.
